    Good evening,
I no your concerns. Courses like these furnish play for schools, tournaments, young and retired players, and all around teams of men and women. I now live near Frostburg and see its beauty each week, the course, Frostburg as well. I will tell you this and it’s a true story that can be verified. In Tennessee a course by the name of Pine Crest in Dyer, Tn., once owned by a Jones family was also private for 50 years. It sold to a really great retired car dealer that decided to auction off because of age. It was closed leaving my cousin and thousands heart broken. Well to make this story great this is what my cousin, 4 others, and another great business man named Joey Hayes did. Joey bought the course. My cousin and the others approached and ask him could they reopen 9 holes if they got members and public people to play if they payed the taxes through about 100 memberships, mowed the greens, watered the fairways. The rest you no. They now use all the money that comes in and their personnel time to run the course. It’s beautiful and Mr. Jones would be proud. Mr. Jones gave the land that my large county school sits on today. I used to watch him as he watched me play senior ball. Joey also a great and very smart man is kind in whatever he does. The 5 that now run it even get to pay some guys to mow it with the money. So I guess the things you love should be kept for always. Hopefully in the few years I leave here I will play proudly on it. Believe me when I say it’s a pros game for sure. Thanks for reading this.
