McKay Preparing for Second General Assembly in January

The 2016 session of the Maryland General Assembly opens on January 13- and it will be the second session for House of Delegate 1C representative Mike McKay. Mckay, a republican, opted to seek the state seat after having served four years as an Allegany County Commissioner. He acknowledged that the move from local government to Annapolis provided some challenges- for example pointing out that in his freshman session close to 3,000 bill were considered- with 400 coming up for votes.  Addressing the Cumberland Rotary Club Tuesday, McKay was asked the best way for a constituent to have their voice heard by lawmakers.
