A 68 year old Meyersdale man was arrested Saturday on charges of soliciting male strangers to rape his female friend.
According to state police, Roger Wahl, 68, of Meyersdale, was charged with rape solicitation, identity theft and invasion of privacy. The incident originated and was facilitated through the WQZS 93.3 radio station. Troopers say Wahl created an online dating profile of the victim and pretended to be her, sending nude pictures he obtained by placing a trail camera in the victim's bathroom without her permission.
When men would attempt to meet the woman in the photos, they would meet Wahl instead- with Wahl trying to convince the men to go inside and rape the woman. Police say the victim was unaware of the plot and was not involved at all.
