On 05/03/2015 at approximately 0114hrs., Troopers from the Hagerstown Barracks were dispatched to a single vehicle collision on N/B RT 615 North of Interstate 70. Upon arrival Troopers observed a 1997 silver Chevrolet Camero, which had collided head on into a tree off the roadway.
The driver and single occupant was identified to be 21 year old Lauren Nicole McCarty, of Needmore, PA. Ms. McCarty was pronounced dead at the scene. Alcohol and speed are believed to be contributing factors into the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
