Oakland Man Arrested on Warrants, CDS Violations

An Oakland Maryland man was arrested Thursday morning by Garrett County Sheriff’s Deputies on multiple Failure to Appear (FTA) warrants. Bradley Lee Alexander, age 44, of Oakland was arrested on Decatur Street in Oakland on the strength of the two FTA Garrett County District Court warrants. One of the FTA warrants was for failing to appear for CDS violations and the other was for Unauthorized Use of a Credit Card and Theft.
After Deputies arrested Alexander, he was also charged with numerous Controlled Dangerous Substance violations stemming from a drug investigation conducted by the Garrett County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division. Alexander was located at the scene of a drug overdose in Deer Park, MD on June 16th of this year. Narcotics Division Deputies conducted the investigation and located controlled dangerous substances and drug paraphernalia on Alexander at the location of the overdose. Alexander was charged with the following crimes by means of a criminal summons:
One count of Possession of Fentanyl
One count of Possession of Acetyl Fentanyl
One count of Possession of Heroin
One count of Possession of Methamphetamine
One count of Possession of Cocaine
One count CDS Possession of Paraphernalia
Bradley Alexander was released from the Garrett County District Court Commissioner’s office on an unsecured bond.
