At approximately 10:30 Friday night officers were dispatched to Park Street for a disturbance. Officers arrived and located two subjects engaged in an assault in an alley off of Park Street. Officers separated the two subjects and obtained statements about what occurred prior to their arrival. Officers learned that an incident occurred previous in WV which led to this incident. Michael Paul Wigfield was taken into custody without incident and transported to Police Headquarters for processing. The second subject was transported to Western Maryland Regional Medical Center for treatment. Charges are pending on the second subject. Wigfield was taken before the District Court Commissioner where he was released pending trial.

Minutes later officers were dispatched to a Columbia Street residence for a report of possible domestic. Officers arrived and at first were unable to reach anyone inside the residence. A female exited the residence to speak with officers and they immediately noticed an injury to the female. Officers questioned her about her injury and she advised them that she had been assaulted prior to their arrival. Officers made contact with Brent Lee Salesky inside the residence. Officers completed their investigation and placed Salesky under arrest for assault. He was taken before the District Court Commissioner where he was released pending trial.
