Three Arrested For Armed Robbery Of Pit N Go

December 30th, 2015 by WCBC Radio

On 12/30/2015, at approximately 1:30 AM, a black male suspect entered the Pit N Go convenience store, located on McMullen Highway in Potomac Park, dressed in an “Aeropostale” hooded sweatshirt, gloves, and wearing a black and white mask to conceal his features. He displayed a handgun and demanded money from the cashier. The cashier complied and gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash which was placed in a blue colored backpack the suspect had with him. The suspect also took several cartons of cigarettes, which he also placed in the backpack, before fleeing the store on foot.

Troopers with the Maryland State Police responded to the scene within minutes. A search of the immediate area was conducted, with the assistance of MSP helicopter Trooper 5, but the suspect was not located at that time.

The Allegany County Combined Criminal Investigation Unit (C3I) was contacted and responded to assist in the investigation.

Investigators learned that another customer had entered the store just prior to the suspect entering the store. Investigators interviewed that subject and determined there were several inconsistencies in his story.

Investigators reviewed video surveillance at the store and were able to obtain detailed descriptions of the clothing being worn by the suspect. Two additional subjects who had been with the first customer were contacted by Investigators. Some of the clothing being worn by one of these subjects matched that being worn by the suspect. A search of the vehicle being operated by these subjects led to the recovery of the mask and gloves being worn by the suspect.

Investigators developed additional information which led them to a location where the suspect had hidden the backpack and the “Aeropostale” sweatshirt. Investigators located a look a like BB handgun, the stolen cash, and stolen cigarettes in the backpack.

As a result, all three suspects were arrested and have been charged in connection with the incident.

Investigators also developed further information linking them to two previous robberies which occurred within the last two weeks, one on 12/19/2015 at the Cogo’s convenience store on National Highway in LaVale, and the other at the same Pit N Go convenience store in Potomac Park on 12/20/2015. In both of those incidents a black male suspect displayed a handgun and obtained cash and cigarettes before fleeing the business on foot.

Charged were:

Abdul Wali Siddiq, 36 years of age, from Paw Paw, West Virginia

Scott Tyler Levine, 28 years of age, from Paw Paw, West Virginia

Kristin Louise Miller, 32 years of age, from Paw Paw, West Virginia

Each of the defendants has been charged with three counts each of Armed Robbery, Robbery, Conspiracy to Commit Robbery, and Theft in connection with all three robberies.

The defendants are currently awaiting their initial appearances before a District Court Commissioner.

The investigation is continuing by C3I.
