UPDATE: Accident With Serious Injuries Near Mexico Farms

Two people were seriously injured in a Thursday  morning accident on Maryland. Route 51 at the intersection of Mexico Farms Road, in Cumberland. Units were called o the scene at 7:22 a.m.  Upon arrival, the initial investigation revealed that 3 vehicles were involved in the collision. A 2005 Ford Focus, operated by a 16 year old female who has been identified as the daughter of Allegany County Sheriff’s Deputy Craig Bridges from Cumberland. ; a 2011 Ford Flex, operated by Joann Martin, 47 years of age, from New Creek, WV; and a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe, operated by Paula Joe, 43 years of age, from Cumberland. The juvenile female and Joann Martin were transported to the Western Maryland Health System, Regional Medical Center, by the District 16 Volunteer Fire Company.  Allegany County Sheriff Craig Robertson confirmed that the 16 year old has been transported to Baltimore’s Shock Trauma Unit. He says that the investigation into the collision has been turned over to Maryland State Police…
