Washington Street Library Painting Work Expanded To Restore Roof Trim

According to county officials, the exterior painting work at the Washington Street Library will be expanded to restore the roof trim. During Thursday’s public meeting, the Commissioners voted to expand a painting project at the library that just recently saw the building’s exterior columns repainted. That worked wrapped up earlier this month. Adam Patterson, deputy director of public works, said the county is extending the project to include the painting of the library’s gables. American Star Painting Co. of Marietta, Ohio, was contracted for $191,500 to paint the columns and is being retained for the gables which will likely have to wait until spring to be completed…
