WV Groups Set Hearings

August 19th, 2018 by WCBC Radio

The West Virginia Public Service Commission has scheduled a hearing for Friday to consider a settlement with the American Water Company that will have an impact on other utilities who have benefitted from the federal tax cuts. Those firms, which include Potomac Edison, have been told to track those benefits so the PSC can adjust billing formulas.

The West Virginia Judicial Vacancy Advisory Commission will interview nine lawyers who have applied to fill the vacancy on the Supreme Court of Appeals created by the resignation and retirement of Justice Ketchum. Most of the applicants are from the southern part of the state, and none of them are from any of the counties in our listening area.
