Delaney Frustrated with Security Breaches at State and Federal Levels

August 3rd, 2015 by WCBC Radio

Maryland state employees received notice via mail in late July that their personal information may have been compromised. WCBC News contacted the Identify Theft branch of the Maryland Attorney General’s Office and a spokesperson there declined comment. The individual, who did not disclose his name or title, said that the breach was relatively small- although he would not reveal how many employees may have been impacted- going so far as to say “impacted” would be the wrong choice of words. He said that there is a very minimal chance that any of the information released would end up compromising any of the employees.  Maryland Sixth District Congressman John Delaney says that he for one is growing increasingly frustrated with security compromises on the federal and state levels- and that its an issue that needs to be addressed,,,
