Delaney to Host Veterans One-Stop-Shop Saturday in Frederick

Congressman John K. Delaney (MD-6) will host a Veterans One-Stop-Shop Workshop Saturday in Frederick. The event will take place at the Mount St. Mary’s University Frederick Campus and is free and open to the public. Over 30 veterans’ organizations including representatives from the Department of Veterans Affairs Baltimore Regional Office and the Martinsburg VA Medical Center will be on hand to answer questions and connect local veterans with the services they provide. Delaney will also file legislation this week to expedite medical leave benefits for working veterans.

“We have a sacred responsibility to support our veterans and their families,” said Congressman Delaney. “The goal of this workshop is to bring federal, state and local resources directly to Maryland veterans and I invite all local veterans who need assistance to attend.”

The event was organized in consultation with Rep. Delaney’s Veterans Advisory Panel, a group of local veterans that advise Delaney on issues of importance to military families. Veterans organizations related to employment, job training and education, health care, housing, legal assistance and community outreach will be part of the One-Stop-Shop.
