16 New COVID Cases, 2 Additional Deaths; Rawlings Clinic Canceled

The Allegany County Health Department reported 16 new COVID cases in Allegany County and two additional deaths, bringing the county’s cumulative case count to 6,333 with 193 fatalities.  The current case rate in Allegany County is 23.33 cases per 100,000 population, while Maryland’s state average is currently 21.7 cases per 100,000 population.  Allegany’s positivity rate is at 4.84%, while the statewide average is 5.32%. 

 

To date, 8,110 Allegany County residents have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. That's 11.5% of the population.  This puts Allegany slightly ahead of the state’s average of 9.4 % having received their first dose of vaccine.

 

Due to the weather forecast, the Rawlings vaccine clinic is canceled for Thursday, February 11.  Individuals with appointments on that day will be notified and their appointments moved to Friday, February 12 at the same time.  Friday’s appointments will continue as planned.  If you have an appointment on Friday, please arrive at your scheduled time.
