Task Force Makes Arrests

(Cumberland, MD) – On December 12, 2019, members of the Allegany County Narcotics Task Force, with the assistance of the Cumberland City Police Department, Allegany County Sheriff’s Office, Maryland State Police Cumberland Barrack and Garrett County Narcotics Task Force, executed a search and seizure warrant in the South George Street area of Cumberland, MD.

The search warrant was the result of an investigation by the Allegany County Narcotics Task Force into the distribution and sales of cocaine in the Allegany County area. During the subsequent search, Allegany County Narcotics Task Force investigators located large amounts of cocaine.

The approximate street value of the cocaine located was $18,000. As a result, Brandon Joseph Steinmetz, 36, of Cumberland and Marquia Lee Cash, 33, of Cumberland were arrested. Steinmetz and Cash were charged with the following: – CDS POSS W/INT TO DIST COCAINE – CDS: POSS-NOT MARIJUANA

The Allegany County Narcotics Task Force is a cooperative effort between the Maryland State Police, Allegany County Sheriff’s Office, the Cumberland Police Department and the Allegany County States Attorney’s Office.

    It’s nice to see some local talent distributing drugs for a change rather than relying on the thugs from Baltimore making all the available cash. Our local drug economy is improving.

    I completely agree that being involved with drugs is stupid. But it doesn’t seem very intelligent to misspell your negative opinions either. You make fun of people from the metropolitan area. All the while, you are really making a joke out of yourselves. Readers would take your comments and ideas much more seriously if you spelled your posts correctly. At least you didn’t feel the need to use racial slurs again this time.
