Hogan Says Health Department Enforces Workplace Social Distancing

April 7th, 2020 by WCBC Radio

Last week, American Woodmark on McMullen Highway was shut down Wednesday a week ago due to social distancing concerns.  It reopened last Thursday after additional guidance was obtained on the issue.

Tuesday, Maryland Governor Larry Hogan was very clear on who has the ability to enforce social distancing requirements in essential businesses…

Some employees say they feel their health is at risk by continuing to work, and have started a online petition drive.

This plant should be shut down. Too many people too close together making non-essential things. I dont want to risk my families well being for a kitchen cabinet going into a $500,000 home

Shutting the schools could not do local writing skills much harm.

I also think the Hospital has a Psychiatric Ward. Some would be wise to seek professional help because Russian Roulette, Vodka and drugs won’t help.

Three choices, quit, go to the hospital or sue.

Since it can be proved that a employee caught the virus at work and that this led to either their death or the death of someone they live with, the law suit which would go forward will likely bankrupt these companies.

It is extremely doubtful insurance would cover this kind of action as management deliberately and recklessly forced their employees to work.

I wonder how Joe’s vision of the economy will account for that carnage.

      > Unemployment is worse. However Riots would wake you fools up when the lack of making a full income again is the cause. A law will pass to immune business from a lawsuit due to the virus. However the CDC will get punished for causing the closures along with state Governments.

      > The choices is where those who whine about working for essential employers is quit or go to the Hospital. Besides Ken how is that heavy Vodka drinking doing. I think you need to seek some professional help. The hospital has a fine Psychiatric ward. Besides Ken you are so much a dumb and stupid tin foil hat wearing punk.

How on earth could one prove WHERE they picked up the virus?? But I would hope these companies can be sued for allowing an extremely dangerous work environment to continue that is a threat to public safety.
