Hogan Announces Stage 2 of MD Reopening

Maryland Governor Larry Hogan Wednesday announced that the benchmarks for moving the reopening of the state into Stage 2 had been achieved, and listed some of the businesses that could reopen Friday evening…

Governor Hogan advised all Marylanders to continue to wear masks and to maintain social distancing.

    I don’t know what Hogan had to say and I don’t care. His benchmarks may be telling him something but there are new cases testing positive around here almost every day.
    How confident will you be returning to ‘normal’?

    There will never again be a “normal” as we once knew it. This pandemic (and its botched response by the current Washington administration) will be (and is) a catalyst for more forward thinking. I’m hoping it makes us smarter and not so complacent and unaware of consequences. No, I think right now it’s still too early for a Phase II. Not that it’s a bad idea, but that misinformed individuals will take it to another level, and we’ll be right back where we started from.

    I agree with both of you. All this relaxation equals more cases. All one has to do is be out in stores here and you see people with a mask on but it doesn’t cover their noses. I was in business yesterday and even though it clearly said you must have a mask this one customer who was being served had no mask at all!
