This interview certainly fired up the “Morning Mayor”! He made a quantum leap assumption that because of this announcement that classes will all be virtual. This before the Board of Ed announces anything. Of course he’s touting his political beliefs and making it a political thing. Apparently he doesn’t care about the science and health issues at all! This is why this country is losing the battle with COVID. It’s not political but a health issue. He’s a divisive person.

      > Divisive is needed in these times, liberals just don’t understand life as they think they need to be given everything, protected from everything instead of being accountable for their own family and themselves, the problems is Liberals just will never understand. You Have a Choice to go to School, Play Sports, Go to The Restaurant. it should be the same with Mask, if someone doesn’t want to wear one they should not be made to wear one just because you’re afraid.

Dave blames his usual scapegoat – the teacher’s union – for schools starting the year online. Dave hates all unions, especially ones that might require him to pay his own employees a living wage with health insurance benefits. Word on the street is that most of his employees can’t stand him. I wonder why.

        > Yes, Dave is a demanding boss–but I found that if you did what he asked for, you were given a lot of room for creativity. He also has a heart of gold. I was hired by Dave and the late Jim Robey four different times, the first three when I was virtually unhirable in the business. The last time was as afternoon personality during the last days WCBC played music. What a thrill to replace the great Jimmy Van and to be replaced by Paul Mullan, two truly iconic personalities in Cumberland.
And (this was back then), my salary was larger than anything I ever made in Washington, D.C., part or full time.

Pay wise, and granted, this was a long time ago, my full time salary was better than any other full time salary, to that date! To the moderator: Hope this is more concise.

There is no health issue. There has not been one case WORLDWIDE of a student giving a teacher COVID Goose. You should re-brand yourself as Duck because you are lame.

      > Look at the MLB players. One team has COVID 6 players and 5 coaches. There is other teams that also have a player or more that also has got the virus. You people that are complaining probably don’t have kids playing.

Wrong again Dan. Israel made the irresponsible decision to open schools and experienced an outbreak and had to shut them down. I’ve not seen a breakdown of whether or not students and teachers were infected but I would think the cases were widespread.

On a lighter note, this will be the first year Alco did not get beat by Fort Hill for at least 10 outings. Take progress where you find it.

I don’t see Alco ever beating FH again in football. Not that it really matters.
