Allegany College of Maryland is seeking a 5% funding increase from the County Commissioners. Representatives from the college, during Thursday afternoon’s budget hearings conducted by the commissioners, outlined the rising costs of providing quality higher education services while pointing out that AC receives the lowest rate of local funding of all community colleges in the state at just 26%.
