Area restaurants will provide free meals for kids during school shutdown

With schools in Maryland and West Virginia closed for the next few weeks a number of area restaurants are stepping up and offering free meals for kids who will be missing breakfast and lunches normally provided in the schools. Those participating include: Joe's Viaduct; Lashbaughs; Oscars; the Toasted Goat; All That to Go; Queen City Creamery; Shooters on McMullan Highway and Deep Creek Lake and Patricks.

    Shooters Neighborhood Bar & Grill is participating as well!

    Cumberland location: Starting March 18th Wednesdays through Sundays until further notice, Shooters will be providing FREE LUNCHES to school aged children from 12pm-4pm. The menu includes chicken tenders, PB & J, Sloppy Joes or grilled cheese with your choice of fries, mac and cheese, or tomato soup. *Dine in only. One meal per child per day. We are happy to do our part in our community’s time of need. You can call 301-729-1637 with any questions.

    Deep Creek Lake location:
    Starting March 19th Thursdays through Sundays until further notice, Shooters will be providing FREE LUNCHES to school aged children from 11pm-4pm. The menu includes chicken tenders, PB & J, Sloppy Joes or grilled cheese with your choice of fries, mac and cheese, or tomato soup. *Dine in only. One meal per child per day.
