Allegany County Board of Education President Sara-Beth Bittinger blasted the three school board candidates running as an alliance for what she terms disseminating “fake news”. Reading a prepared statement, Bittinger listed a number of pieces of inaccurate or misleading information being presented in media interviews and social media posts by the top three vote getters in the June Primary- incumbent Wayne Foote, Robert Farrell and David Bohn. Her chief concern focused on the idea that if those three were elected, they have suggested they could have Superintendent David Cox terminated.
