BOE President: Virtual Learning Status to be Reevaluated Before Mid-January

Due to the continuing poor metrics involving infection and positivity rates in Allegany County, the Board of Education took action Tuesday to remain on a remote learning platform into January, with the board reevaluating the situation at its meeting on January 12th.

The return to virtual learning was made over a month ago, initially because there wasn’t enough employees to staff schools because of positive tests and isolation due to virus exposure.
