BoE Requests Budget Amendment To Allow For Hire Of Additional Security & Mental Health Professionals

In an effort to enhance school safety and security, the Allegany County Board of Education this week voted unanimously to request a budget amendment that would allow for the hire of additional school security employees as well as mental health professionals for the system. If the budget transfer is approved by the county commissioners- this will allow the board to hire 4 school security employees, as well as 4 mental health professionals.     The mental health professionals are needed at the BOE meetings more than the schools.
