On 02/07/2020, at 10:20 PM, the Frostburg State University Police responded to an on campus dorm room at Annapolis Hall for a reported armed robbery. Officers interviewed the victims and learned that they were playing video games when they heard a knock at the door. Thinking it was a friend, they opened the door, and the suspect, armed with a handgun, entered the room. The suspect, wearing a dark colored hoodie, and a ski mask to try to conceal his identity, demanded money, but ended up taking only an electronic item and one of the victim's wallets before fleeing on foot.
A search of the area was conducted, but the suspect was not located at that time.
Investigators with the Allegany County Combined Criminal Investigation Unit (C3I) responded to the scene to assist in the investigation.
The crime scene was processed by Evidence Collection Technicians with the Maryland State Police Forensic Sciences Division.
Through interviews and the review of video surveillance at the University, Investigators quickly learned that one of the alleged "victims" had actually let the suspect in Annapolis Hall through a locked exterior door prior to the crime occurring. Interviews and further review of videos from the University, and a nearby business, helped Investigators identify the suspect.
Investigators obtained an arrest warrant for the suspect, 19 year old Oluwashina Michael Aguda, of Essex, MD, a former student at FSU. Late Saturday night Aguda was arrested by the Baltimore County Police on the outstanding warrant. He has been charged with Armed Robbery, 1st Degree Assault, Use of a Firearm During a Felony Crime of Violence, and several other related charges. He is currently being held in Baltimore County without bond, pending his return to Allegany County.
Investigators are also identifying the other suspect after obtaining a warrant for his arrest. Joseph Lawrence Bonds Jr., 18 years old, from Baltimore, MD, is being charged with the same crimes as Aguda for his part in the incident. Bonds was thought to be one of the victims until Investigators were able to identify him letting Aguda into Annapolis Hall immediately before the robbery occurred. Bonds has not been apprehended yet, and is believed to be back in the Baltimore area.
Bonds is a current student at FSU, but is currently under interim suspension from the school for his part in the incident. Investigators further want to advise the student population, and the public in general, that this was not a random act, but was a targeted attack only made possible with Bonds assistance in the crime.
The investigation is continuing by the FSU Police Department and C3I.

Watch all the money Twigg spends to get them back here so he can plea deal to a misdemeanor, so he gets his conviction….no time served. That is why they keep coming out here to do their crimes…Thanks Twigg!!

How about some blame on the judges who see crimes like this and they can choose to enforce the max yet don’t. If we don’t hold our own community to their crimes what kind of example does it set for out of towners?

There’s plenty of blame to go around. We shouldn’t leave FSU (and all public colleges and universities) off the hook for the quality of students they are forced to admit.

I’m sure if we looked, there should be city/county Demographics reports from combined Law enforcement agencies detailing vital stats regarding crime: sex, age, race, resident/addy, etc…However, it’d be GREAT if in addition to basic stats, if the legal-justice side of the equation added crime charges, offender stats, etc & final results!
Yes, some average citizen may think it’s ‘gossip data’ BUT/too, besides just being ‘interesting’, one would hope to believe the stats would most surely benefit law enforcement And elected officials in all the obvious ways …As for informed, active citizens, it’d give a TRUE pic of not just the types of crime & criminals, how our tax resources are used to deal with the issues &/or are there deficiencies possibly contributing to some problems, etc, As well, of Great importance, how’s our legal justice system operating; contributing to the problem? Helping the problem? – it’d be nice to actually know the overall efficiency & effectiveness of our laws, law enforcement agencies, prosecutors, judges, etc in conjunction with the crime data/stats.
Otherwise, the ONLY info citizens have are these police report logs & assumptions made from constantly seeing the same types of crime by the same people, again & again OR all these Out of Town, non-residents & college students…
And just from these police logs, it’s grown extremely easy to believe the local judges have taken it upon themselves to enact some type of Bail reform similar to NY &\or w/ state attorney’s office, combined, they’ve made some type of agreement for preferred sentencing ~ ‘Activist Prosecution & Judging’ = turning legal system & criminal justice operated on individuals ‘feelings, opinions & political leanings’ dictating decisions versus enforcing the laws on the books! &/or, maybe there’s issues with Prosecutors & legal aid, understaffed, overworked, underfunded, etc, impacting recommendations to judges for sentencing? Or worse, ones worried more about a ‘case closed w/ a WIN!’
