Candlelight Vigil Scheduled at City Hall Tonight

July 12th, 2019 by WCBC Radio

People of all faiths are invited tom participate in a candlelight vigil tonight at 8:30 on the steps of Cumberland’s City Hall. The vigil is being held to protest the conditions for the immigrants and asylum seekers at the border. Rabbi Mark Perman with the B’er Chayim Temple and retired minister Rebecca Vardiman discussed the ceremony during an appearance on WCBC’s “Dave Norman Show” Thursday. Although the immigration issue has become a hot button partisan political issue on a national level- Rabbi Perman said this evening’s vigil is not designed to be political in anyway- but simply to call attention to the plight of those attempting to enter the country…

Why is it so hard for people to understand rules and laws and obey. There is a written procedure which explains all that and How to be a citizen. This acceptance of breaking the law needs to be addressed and no matter what you do wrong is wrong it’s not the citizens of the U.S. that need to change, but the immigrants. Please God help our nation.

They will call a candlelight vigil for illegal immigrants, yes, they are breaking the law and so should be called what they are, criminals. What about a vigil for the many children whose parents were lost to drug addiction and crime? What about a vigil for those who are struggling with unemployment and hopelessness. What about the victims of suicide? There is a purpose behind this, make no mistake, despite their claim to be non-political.

Coming to America to seek asylum is not a crime but the inhumane way this administration is treating refugees is a human rights disgrace. We are a nation of immigrants – all immigrants. Most of our ancestors came here for the same reason that these people are here. It is amazing that the so called pro life party treats life so shabbily. Hypocrites – the lot of you.

The left has created a false narrative regarding what is going on with the refugees. The Trump administration has done what it can to improve conditions as compared to the Obama administration. It is sad to see a Jewish Rabbi siding with the left when the Democrat leadership is anti-semitic and have been responsible for Americas abortion holocaust which has exterminated 70,000,000 innocent children.
