Saturday morning at approximately 6:00 AM, Cumberland City Police responded to the 100 block of North Mechanic Street for an assault.
Upon arrival officers contacted the victim and observed visible signs of injuries. The victim advised they were struck multiple times in the head and face. The victim was taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Officers located and arrested the suspect Jamar Cordelle Peck without incident. Peck was taken before a District Court Commissioner and remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center without bond.

Charge – Assault 2nd Degree
