City man charged with burglary

On Friday officers of the Cumberland Police Department served an Arrest Warrant on Marley Zane Powell. The Warrant was issued by the District Court stemming from a burglary investigation on August 13th, 2020. During the incident officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to a Hanover Street address for a reported burglary. Officers spoke with the victim who stated that someone had broken into their garage and stole a bicycle. Officers continued the investigation and located the bicycle at a local pawn shop, and determined that Marley Zane Powell had pawned the bicycle. The investigating officer applied for charges through the District Court which resulted in the Warrant being issued. Powell was taken before a District Court Commissioner where he was released on an unsecured $5,000 bond.

 

 

 

Arrest: Marley Zane Powell, age 27, Cumberland Maryland.

 

Charges: Burglary 2nd Degree, Theft Less Than $100, and Theft $100 to under $1500.
