Allegany County Commissioners President Jake Shade said this week that the county has issued nearly $1 million in grants to more than 200 area small businesses this month to assist the entities during the coronavirus outbreak. The latest round of grants, totaling more than $800,000, was made possible by the federal coronavirus relief package. Allegany County received $12.3 million from that package. The county had issued $100,000 in grants from to small businesses in April. More than 200 businesses applied for funding and grant amounts ranged from $200 to $7,500…

Will there be ANY ACCOUNTABILITY as to who and where the grants go, and will the results be made public?? Will the grants be dispersed on a fair and equitable manner to those in the most need, to retain these “small” businesses,in our area.

Good idea make CEDC in charge of it and no one gets anything. You’ll get your stimulus same time mall is completed

Some of this money should go to the Fort Hill football program. They will need help getting summer practice off the ground.
