    Somethings not right here.
Everything is decreasing as far as Covid-19 numbers are concerned in the State of Maryland and yet Allegany County has 20 new cases since Monday.
    Who’s right? Who’s wrong?
Does the right hand know what the left hand is doing?

      > If you’re doing a lot of testing, you can have both a falling positive rate AND more new cases. The numerator is increasing, but the denominator is increasing even faster.

        > I understand that. My point here is why test people that have had no known exposure other than to make the numbers look better than they really are. It’s the old; you can make numbers say anything you want them to.
Let’s try this. Take the total population of the State which is 6.1 million. Now take one healthy person and test them 6.1 million times. Based on that there is no Covid-19 in the State of Maryland.

          > A lot of the testing is just CYA by institutions. At FSU, employees working remotely just had to come to campus to get tested!

      > I assume that the total ‘state wide’ numbers are dropping, but some backwater counties like are are seeing an increase, but not an increase big enough to move the numbers up state wide.

Wow. Just wear a mask, wash your hands, and for god’s sake social distance people. It’s not difficult. If everyone would just do what needs to be done this could be over. But let’s just argue about how testing increases numbers. Have lots of unprotected sex but don’t get tested for STIs and you just won’t have them, right?
