On Thursday at approximately 10:30 AM the Cumberland City Police Department responded to a residence in the 100 block of East First Street for an assault. Upon arrival officers made contact with the victim. The victim advised they were assaulted and strangled by Ethan Jesse York. Officers were unable to locate Mr. York at that time. Charges were applied for at District Court and an arrest warrant was issued. On 12/25/2020 the Cumberland City Police Department served the arrest warrant on Mr. York. Mr. York was taken before a District Court Commissioner and remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center without bond.

Charges – Assault 1st Degree, Assault 2nd Degree
