    The status of the bridges is obvious to all; they are still buggered and have been for longer than they took to build in the first place. The city failed to enforce the weight limits, allowing huge trucks with 53′ trailers loaded full to drive around residential streets as the drivers were likely kin. They have now designated upper Cumberland Street a truck route to insure the bridge does not stay repaired for long if someone is foolish enough to give them money to fix it.
