A recent Arrest Warrant Initiative was conducted by the Cumberland Police Department under the Maryland Criminal Intelligence Network (formerly Safe Streets) Program. The Warrant Initiative began Monday, March 25, and concluded Wednesday, March 27, 2019.
The goal continues to be making our streets safer through the reduction of open arrest warrants. The Maryland Criminal Intelligence Network (MCIN) Operation continues to seek citizen help in locating and apprehending individuals on open arrest warrants.
This MCIN Initiative resulted in the arrest of Sixteen (16) individuals on active arrest warrants, with a total of Eighteen (42) arrest warrants being served.
This was another successful operation conducted with Officers from the Cumberland City Police Department, Allegany County Sheriff’s Deputies and Troopers from the Maryland State Police, together with the warrant fugitive officers, who combined their resources to reduce the number of active arrest warrants in Allegany County.
