DDC Discusses Rain Plans for Events

The region has been saturated by rain this summer with last year’s total rainfall already surpassed by early September. The frequent downpours have impacted many of the area’s outdoor events- most recently including the first annual River and Rails Festival at Canal Place. While many of the events can, and do move indoors during inclement weather, the Downtown Development Commission would like to see a built in rain plans announced as part of promotions.  DDC Chair Sandi Saville…

    Considering DDC’s record, this likely indicates that the rest of us should plan for some years of drought.
