January 21st, 2020 by WCBC Radio

District 1B Delegate Jason Buckel met with Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services Secretary Robert Green last week.

Buckel tells WCBC news that he has concerns that inmates who spend time in prison here wind up being released to this area, rather than the community where they offended, and have lived for years…

Inmates are being introduced to females in this area. They begin “dating” through written correspondence. The woman ends up promising the inmate a place to live upon his release from prison, so they can continue their “relationship.” The inmate then gets released, stays with the woman about a week, and then moves on from her. This leaves our community with a new member. This new member has no job, no family and no business being here. Stop the problem at the source. This is happening regularly in Allegany County.

If a prisoner likes the beauty of the Mountains why do they not want to stay. Everyone knows the real crime problem and it was never the prisons.

1 bad parole violator who kills a innocent person ruins it for those who served their prison time and don’t want to cause anymore trouble.
