Downtown Sees Increase in Outdoor Dining

In the past three weeks the downtown mall in Cumberland has seen an increase in foot traffic as outdoor dining, followed by limited indoor dining were permitted for the first time since March. The reopening, particularly with the restaurant industry, comes with a strict list of COVID-19 guidelines including the wearing of masks by employees and by customers when they enter the dining area. Downtown Development Commission chair Sandra Saville reports that the reopening of dining has gone relatively smoothly, there have been a few issues created by out of state visitors when it comes to mask wearing protocols…

    jfc, for DECADES no one complained when they had signs up saying ‘no shirt, no shoes, no service’!
