Face Mask Order Carries Force of State Law

April 20th, 2020 by WCBC Radio

As of this past weekend,  all Marylanders must wear a face covering while inside an essential business or aboard public transportation. The directive made this week by Gov. Larry Hogan, like other orders made since he declared a state of emergency for COVID-19, carries the force of state law. Willful violations can carry up to one year in jail and a $5,000 fine. No Judge is going to slap a first time offender with that penalty, Hogan is trying to scare us!

You “rebels without a cause” – go ahead and go into a business without a face mask. You’re right, you may not get “slapped” with a fine, but you can bet your butt the owners/workers will stop you from patronizing their establishment! Enjoy the “boos” and dirty looks from the RESPONSIBLE customers while you’re thrown out! Also, if you happen to notice a height marker on the exit door, check to see if you shrunk any!

The world is suffering from COVID and at this time we have to do self-care, and the mask is an important thing so buy reusable masks and washable masks.
