Farrell Talks About Leadership Role Changes with Board in New Year

A change in the leadership dynamic with the Allegany County Board of Education and the Central Office administration may be on the way come January- in addition to a deeper look into how the system has dealt with inappropriate teacher/student relationships. The make-up of the elected board will be changing dramatically January 2nd when three new board members are sworn into office. One of those new members, Robert Farrell, tells WCBC News that for too long he has witnessed a “tail wagging the dog”  type of relationship between the elected board- and their lone employee- Superintendent David Cox. Farrell says he expects it to be made clear, beginning in January, that Cox works for the board- and not vice versa…
