BW Football Coach Fired

October 21st, 2012 by WCBC Radio

The Bishop Walsh Spartans, having one of their stronger seasons in recent memory, have fired head coach Geno Taylor.  WCBC News learned of the dismissal Saturday after the team's  58-13 victory over the Virginia Lions. The news has been  confirmed by Bishop Walsh Athletic Director Jim Zamagias. As is school policy,  no additional details will be made available  because it is a personnel matter. As of Monday, Mike Allen and Michael Fields will be the coaches. Taylor has also declined comment, although he did confirm his dismissal. Several sources have since confirmed to WCBC News that apparently there was an incident involving the coach drinking beer on the team bus, however school officials again are declining to confirm any of those reports. Taylor was hired in the summer of  2011 at a time when there was discussion  of BW discontinuing its football program. In his one plus seasons, Taylor had a record of 11-5.

Fine thank you for helping them to a 7-1 season. Then again we don’t know the story behind the story. Bad for the team either way.

I think this story is disgusting, you story has not been backed by any school official, I think its terrible, have any of you wrote a story about a man that did EVERYTHING, for his players, their parents, families, he made and built a wonderful football program and I seriously think that’s what should have made your headlines…

They should be always be someone they can look up to !. Not teaching the wrong things in life that will only lead them in to a life of self destruction. SHAME ON THOSE WHO CHARRISH THEESE COACHES JUST BECAUSE THEY BRING THEM FAME.
