Former City Council Candidate Blasts City For “Costly Permitting System”

The Cumberland Mayor and Council came under fire last week for what one man views as a convoluted and costly permitting system that discourages people from locating in the city.     Does this surprise anyone who lives and deals with City Officials? It is a wonder they didn’t want to charge an enormous “FEE” to push it through. If it was a tax increase, they would be all for it!!
