Former Republican State Senator Foresees Prolonged Period of GOP Infighting

The events at the Capitol, beginning with a violent mob and ending with the second impeachment of President Donald Trump, have exposed deep rifts in the Republican Party. With Trump set to leave office this week, the future of the GOP is as unsettled at anytime in recent history with pro and anti-Trump factions digging in, hoping to set the agenda, moving forward. Longtime Frostburg State University political science professor and former Maryland State Senator John Bambacus talked with WCBC News about the party’s future.
