On Friday Investigators with the Allegany County Combined Criminal Investigation Unit (C3I) arrested 22 year old Amelia Dawn Miller, of Fort Ashby, West Virginia after a warrant had been issued for her arrest.

The investigation which led to Miller's arrest showed that, on 01/11/2019, Miller had illegally entered the Rawlings area residence of a former boyfriend, while he was at work, and then shot a pet dog belonging to the boyfriend with a large caliber rifle she found there.

Miller was charged with multiple counts of Burglary and Animal Cruelty. She was taken before a District Court Commissioner for an initial appearance and is currently being held without bond at the Allegany County Detention Center, pending her next court appearance.

The investigation was conducted by the Maryland State Police and C3I.

This is just another example showing that Dave was wrong two days ago saying to Sen. Edwards that this area was perceived to be populated by “rednecks” by folks in more affluent areas to our east. They actually see the area as populated by hillbillies from stories like this. Yesterday it was reported that two local grown men broke into a home and were found asleep together in the homeowner’s bed. “Rednecks” would not be caught dead doing that. Our locals were. There have been at least three stories in recent years about locals being found asleep in houses they had forcibly entered. “Rednecks” have higher standards of behavior and association. Sen. Edwards made a strong case for the folks to the east’s real thoughts on our area when he stated that at least now they know “where we are at”. Where we are at! Kevin is correct that he truly represents the area.

Make this low-life piece of crap the Ground Zero for animal cruelty! This non-human needs to pay! She needs to be reminded DAILY what trash she is! My heartfelt condolences to the boyfriend on his loss. NO ONE should ever have to go through this.
