Frostburg Police Probe Vehicle Thefts

The Frostburg City Police Department is seeking information on two separate stolen motor vehicles:

*A white 2018 Kia Forte sedan, MD Tag # 6DR2331 was stolen from Paul Street the night of July 27-28, 2019;

*A red/burgundy 2011 Cadillac CTS sedan, MD Tag # 7CZ4669 was stolen from West Main Street the night of July 25-26, 2019.

Anyone with information on these thefts is asked to contact police at 301-689-3000. If either vehicle is sighted, call 911.

Both vehicles had the keys inside at the time of the thefts. In addition, police received reports of eight (8) other unlocked motor vehicles that were entered/tampered with the night of July 27-28, 2019.

Police are reminding community members to keep motor vehicles locked, not to store valuables inside them, and not to store the keys to the vehicles inside them.

    Seems like it’s common sense not to leave your keys in your car now a days.Good luck with prosecution. Allegany county will slap someone’s hands and let them off the hook.
