September 10th, 2018 by WCBC Radio

The week two version of the 2018 D3football.com Top 25 Poll was released Monday morning and the Frostburg football team ranks sixth after two weeks of action for the 2018 season. The Bobcats opened the fall campaign with a 34-7 win over Stevenson in Owings Mills during week one and they followed it up with a 47-7 victory over TCNJ on Saturday.

The No. 6 ranking is the highest in program history for the Bobcats in the D3football.com Top 25 Poll. The Bobcats entered the '18 season ranked eighth after finishing last season ranked ninth. This week marks the 18th-straight week that FSU has appeared in the D3 poll.

Frostburg was also ranked in several other preseason polls that were released this summer including 14th in the College Football America Yearbook, 13th in the Lindy's poll and 16th according to Street & Smith's.

A year ago, Frostburg posted a record breaking season that included 11 wins, 468 points and a trip to the NCAA Playoff quarterfinals.

Frostburg returns to action this Saturday for their home opener against Christopher Newport at 7 pm.
