Gov. Hogan Announces New Coronavirus Testing Sites

May 22nd, 2020 by WCBC Radio

Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan is announcing additional testing sites for the coronavirus. Hogan said Friday that three Walmart stores will offer residents self-administered swab tests. Two of the stores are on the Eastern Shore. They include a Walmart Supercenter in Cambridge, Maryland, and another will be in Fruitland, Maryland. A Walmart Supercenter in Frederick also will offer tests. The tests will be provided at drive-up locations outside those stores three days a week. Hogan also has announced testing availability at 17 CVS stores and two Rite Aid stores in the state. Maryland has had 43,531 positive cases of COVID-19 in the state. As of Friday morning, there have been 2,045 deaths. That’s 41 more deaths since Thursday morning. The state has had 176,702 negative tests. There were 1,374 hospitalizations, 36 less than Thursday.

Thank goodness, even more testing sites and they continue to exclude Allegany County.
How many people have to contract the virus and possibly die before it is recognized as something affecting the people out here in the boondocks.
Until now I’ve appreciated the way Governor Hogan has handled this. That stops now.

Should have never publicized the whole thing. If we went about business as usual, this thing wouldn’t be causing the issues it is.
