December 18th, 2019 by WCBC Radio

Today, Gov. Jim Justice announced the hiring of Summer Ratcliff as his Regional Representative for West Virginia’s Eastern Panhandle counties.

Ratcliff will split her time between Martinsburg and Charleston, working as a Legislative Assistant during sessions of the Legislature, and serving the remainder of her time as a Regional Representative for the Governor’s Office in the Eastern Panhandle.

As Regional Representative, Ratcliff will serve as the primary point of contact for local constituencies to communicate directly with the Governor’s Office. She will assist local governments, organizations, and residents in their interactions with the Governor’s Office and state government as a whole. Her coverage area includes eight counties: Jefferson, Berkeley, Morgan, Hampshire, Mineral, Grant, Hardy, and Pendleton.

A Martinsburg native, Ratcliff is a graduate of West Virginia University and has spent her career in public service and politics in both West Virginia and Washington, D.C. Most recently, Ratcliff was employed by the Committee to Reelect Jim Justice. She formally resigned her role with the Committee to accept this position with the Governor's Office.
