May 29th is the deadline to enter recipes for the Governor’s Buy Local Cookout, scheduled for July 18.
Maryland chefs and restaurants may submit original recipes using local ingredients. The recipe must include 50% Maryland-sourced products. High school and college teams are also encouraged to submit recipes.
More details are available on the Maryland Department of Agriculture Facebook page. Selected teams go to Annapolis to prepare and share their dish at the Governor’s cookout.
