Grim Unsuccessfully Lobbies Atlantic Broadband

Rate and fee increases topped the agenda of this week’s regular meeting of the Cumberland Mayor and City Council. The city received a letter from Atlantic Broadband with notification that service, equipment, installation and activation fees will increase effective in April. Mayor Brian Grim said he contacted the company about holding off on the rate hike, given the current economic climate- but those efforts were not successful…

    I agree with Dave that the City should not complain about ABB increases when they do not hold down costs themselves.

    However, it is frustrating that the prices are going up at ABB when there are not very many good shows. When I do find something worthwhile to watch, the sound keeps tapering off at the end of sentences – so you have to be a lip reader. Also, the picture keeps going out of focus.

    att should come to cumberland they have good tv,and it dont cost as much.
