Growing Concern Over Slots At Rocky Gap

When the Rocky Gap Lodge and Golf Resort opened at the state park back in 1998- many area residents expressed concern that the commercial development would essentially destroy many of the amenities making up the recreational area. Those concerns are only growing now that the state is on the verge of awarding a license to see a slots parlor opened at the site. Robert Brennan, Executive Director of the Maryland Economic Development Corporation, which owns the resort tells WCBC News that there are safeguards in place that ensure that many elements of the state park remain intact…

    Great! Let’s increase the number of prisons we have, add gambling. And while we’re at it, how about some more methadone clinics and a few whore houses for the kids, too!
