Health Insurance Clause An Issue In Cox Departure

June 17th, 2019 by WCBC Radio

A clause in the contract of outgoing Superintendent of Schools Dr. David Cox that says Allegany County Public Schools are obligated to pay for the healthcare of Dr. Cox and his wife through Medicare Supplemental eligibiltiy came to light on WCBC’s Dave Norman Show.

Board Vice President David Bohn says legal opinion is that the school system is on the hook, even though Dr. Cox will be working in Tennessee beginning August 1st

The current contract with Dr. Cox was approved by the previous school board.  Former members Sara Beth Bittinger and Laurie Marchini have declined to go on the air with Dave Norman, while current board member Tammy Fraley says she will issue a statement at tomorrow’s board meeting.

So Laurie is in on negotiations with csx and the bridges? Good help us!
Tammy Fraley is a joke! Can’t wait to hear her spin this crazy contract. Maybe Cox promised her hubby he could continue to hang out at certain schools!
