Hogan Sports Order Sparks Debate

September 27th, 2020 by WCBC Radio

Maryland Governor Larry Hogan's announcement that sports and other school activities could resume in the coming weeks has both supporters and critics.

The state superintendent's association says it wants to see systems follow the submitted plans for school reopening, while the MPSSAA is says counties could elect to play now or in the spring.

The seasons would begin the week of October 20, and would end in early December.  Practice would start October 7, which would also be the date that golf competition could commence.
