Home Invasion reported on Arch Street

On Tuesday,  at approximately 12:24 a.m., the Cumberland Police Department responded to a residence located in the 400 block of Arch Street in reference to an armed robbery / home invasion.  Upon officers arrival contact was made with two victims who advised three male subjects forced entry into the residence, brandished handguns, demanded money, and stole some items before fleeing.  The suspects disguised their identities by wearing masks.  No injuries reported from the victims.  Officers immediately began canvasing the area attempting to locate the suspects.

 

Assistance was requested from the Maryland State Police regarding a “tracking K-9” who responded.  A Detective from the Combined County Criminal Investigation Unit (C3I) responded to further investigate.  A Crime Scene Technician from the Maryland State Police responded to process the scene and collect evidence.
